We want to invite you to the next Western Regional Congress 2010 that takes place in Tyrol and is concerned with an important area in Europe – the fusion of societies and nature that is the Alps.

Our goal is an interdisciplinary endeavour to find solutions to diverse and actual challenges concerning the region.

By keeping the key concepts of the AC 2009 - Innovation and Professionalism in our mind, we want to combine techniques with projects and concepts;
combine physical geography with human, environmental and regional geography, geoinformatics and other fields related to them.

For reaching this goal we need competent and enthusiastic workshop leaders, who want to be a part of our project: Contribute to a congress, focused on practical application of geographical knowledge!

More information about the congress will follow in December.

yeah...it's gonna kick-ass! and do you know why? just look at the map of europe how the border of austria is shaped like! do you really think, austria looks like how it looks, cuz we lost two world wars? nope...the guitar shape of austria is the will of a higher power - and that's just for one reason: cuz we rock! http://www.my-smileys.de/smileys3/ylsuper.gif

just kiddin' :P but I think you can really expect an uber-nice location...tirol is just great with all those surrounding mountains *;

Do you already know something about the structure of the workshops?
(like topics or direction of topics/form/presentation/duration/case studies/interaction between leader and participant)
