Hi there,
introducing the latest webtechnology at the egea website first...
I couldn't help but implement one more feature on the egea website: It's now possible to talk in live audio & video to your fellow
egea friends, right here - on the egea website itself!  Using a new webservice
(tokbox) that allows video calling embedded on websites, everybody can now install a video
call box on his or her egea profile.
What does it look like? Take a look at my profile, and you'll see the video call
box. If i'm online (and if I have my own profile page opened as well) any other egea member can give me call and we can chat over live video, right at
my profile.
To have this video call box at your profile page too, please go to your own profile page and follow the information under the video call info box (on
the left).
Some important remarks about this feature- You need to have a microphone and webcam
connected to your computer to make best use of this feature.
- All egea members can make video calls. However if you want to give other members the possibility to call you, you need to
install the video call widget on your profile.
- To be available for receiving calls, you should keep you own profile page opened in a browser window.
- Some basic profile information (username, first/last name, email) has to be sent to and stored at the tokbox website. Before installing the video chat, you have the ability to choose which information (email
address!) will be sent.
- You can also embed your tokbox video chat box at other websites / blogs / etc.
- If you want to disable the video call box on your profile, you can do so using the Control Panel -> Options
- The flash-based video calling application has to connect to your webcam and microphone, and another server. If you are working from behind
firewalled networks (work, universities) you might not be able to make a connection to this server.

i also soled my problem .. it seems he didn`t like my username

Solved (i had made the input field for email address to short)
And Gert; people only can see you when a call connection has been established (they call you; you accept the call). It's not a internet
webcam that transmits images to whoever views your profile.

I have a little problem with tokbox and firefox. Always, when i open someones profile who is using tokbox my browser is collapsing after a few
seconds. then i have to restart firefox... my firefox is up-to-date (2.0.0.10)... does anyone else have the same problem?
btw. i didn't register to use tokbox and i won't do it in future... might this be a reason?
