EGEA Reunion and EUROGEO seminar on Sustainable Geographies

The registration for the EGEA Reunion and EUROGEO seminar in Prague is open!

- You are invited to join a very special long weekend in Prague from the 6th till the 9th of May.
- The weekend includes a reunion with EGEAns from several generations, a scientific seminar with geographers from all over Europe, a geographical fieldtrip, a guided city tour and social events.
- We invite you to present your geographical work from your studies, PhD, PostDoc or work project.
- The price of the weekend is 95 EURO, which includes the full program, all meals and accommodation in the centre of Prague.
- You can register until the 1st of April.

IGU conference “Land use and land cover changes in a globalised World”, 28/6-1/7 2010, Prague

This international conference is organised by the International Geographycal Union's Commission on Land Use and Cover Changes in cooperation with the Charles University's Faculty of Science. The main organiser is Doc. Ivan Bičík, chairman of the IGU-LUCC Commission and member of the Faculty's Department of Social Geography and Regional Development.

First part of the conference will take place in the Deanery building of the Faculty of Science on the 28th and 29th of June 2010 (Albertov 6, Prague 2) and will consist of participants' paper presentations and debates on recent processes in the european landscape.
A 2-day excursion to some of the interesting czech regions will follow (30th June and 1st July 2010).
