Náš program na obdobie máj a jún:

??.?? Jarné čistenie lesa (Dátum sa upresní čoskoro)

http://www.egea.eu/upload/member/4419/denzeme.jpg

My dear EGEANS!

European Geography Association for Students and Young Geographers at Comenius University, Faculty of Natural Science in Bratislava (EGEA Bratislava) joined the newly created EGEA family at the beginning of 90´. Some of the founding members of EGEA Bratislava still work as professors at the university. The main aim of our student´s organization is to encourage and stimulate the exchange of geographical knowledge and information between students and young geographers of different nationalities, by organizing and participating at geographical events (congresses, student´s exchanges, seminars, scientific symposia…). Simply said, EGEA provides inexpensive way to travel, free accommodation, sharing experiences, having friends throughout the Europe.

After some years of inactivity, our entity was reactivated in year 2004, when our members attended Seminar in Romania and EGEA Annual Congress in Barloo. The biggest success for EGEA Bratislava was the organization of Eastern Regional Congress in Tatranská Lomnica in year 2005. Our entity developed a lot during the last years, as our members took part in several activities and we gained new enthusiastic members too. Year 2008/2009 was really fruitful for our entity, as we participated at 4 EGEA Congresses, organized one student´s exchange with EGEA Szeged, started the tradition with organizing of so called “friendship´s” EGEA events with EGEA Szeged, preparing the organization of ° Tatra Trek eXpedition ´09 (10. – 14. September 2009), took part at the summer Seminars, visited some foreign EGEA entities and organized local EGEA parties.

Most of our members took part in at least one of EGEA activities during last EGEA year 2008/2009. Among 24 registered member under our entity, 15 of them (what makes 62,5%) took part at least in one official or private EGEA event. We can state, that nowadays we have up to 15 active members, from the newbie’s (2nd – 3rd Year), up to the master students and graduated PhD students as well. Because some of our members will finish with studying in upcoming years, we will try to search for new members, willing to continue with our work.

So the last EGEA year 2008/2009 is over. It passed really quickly, but I am pound to say that this was the most successful one in the history of our entity. This report is a short summary of what we have done during the EGEA year, from September 2008 to August 2009. On the following pages you can read about our activities, congresses, exchanges, EGEA events, private EGEA actions, where we participated on. I have to say a big big thanks to all of my members, for participating at EGEA activities (official ones or private ones), assistance, support and cooperation! I am looking forward to the upcoming EGEA year 2009/2010; I hope that we can continue with a good work, that we´ve started.

Always yours,

Michal Ignaťák, EGEA Bratislava Contact Person # 1

EGEA Year 2008/2009 in our memoriespublished 20-6-2009 by MIG24

Slovak-Hungarian Friendship´s Goulash party, 17. -19.7. 2009

Participants: Michal Ignaťák (MIG24), Marek Krajčuška (kamzik), Ladislav Mišánik (laci_misanik), Stanislav Ruman (Yeti), Martina Urbanovská, Aneta Bachledová, Teodóra Fáta Kristóf (Teodora) from EGEA Szeged

Another edition of “friendship´s meetings” between EGEA Bratislava and EGEA Szeged took place in small Slovak village called Muľka (Lučenec region). We stayed at the old, but very unique house of Laci´s grand grandparents, built at the beginning of 20th century. Right after arriving of the last participants, and opening the first bottles of beer :P we could start with cooking the goulash. It is always a great ritual, every one helped with preparing ingredients and cooking and making the fire :)
The plan for the second day was to rest, sunbath and swim in the Ružiná lake. The weather was wonderful, sunny and warm, even some of us were completely burned from the sun. On the way back, we made a short stop in the Divín village, under the ruins of medieval castle, where we enjoyed the local festival for a while, Marek and Teo tried archery, the others watched traditional dances ;) Another stop was in Halíč, where we made a short trip to the old chateau. After the shopping in Lučenec, we came back to Muľka, where the party continued. I will not describe the details :P but be sure, that when you take part in “friendship event”, you can´t avoid good beer and good food, what automatically turns you to the good mood :) crazy karaoke night, wild dancing, games and a lot, a lot of fun and other activities! ..But words are useless... Simply, if you haven’t experienced, you can’t even imagine, how great our parties are :P so, guys from Blava and Szeged, hope to see you soon at our common event.
