WRC '08: "United States of Europe?"


Less than two weeks

Dear enthusiastic participants

We are less than two weeks from the WRC 2008 now. We already feel the vibes, hopefully you too!

Because the congress is now so close, we would like to inform you about some practical issues:

1) ARRIVAL
On Monday April 7 we expect you to arrive at the congress location in Mozet or at the train station of Naninne before 16h. From the train station of Naninne we will provide a shuttle to the location at the following train arrivals: 13h32, 14h32 and 15h32. If you should arrive with another train (keep the beginning of the program at 16h in mind), please let us know and we will pick you up!
We’ll try to update the website very quickly with train details. Don’t hesitate to ask us further questions!

If you would arrive earlier we can offer you some possibilities concerning food and the overnight stay, but you need to pay extra for that:
- Sunday dinner 6€
- Sunday sleepover + breakfast 13€
- Monday lunch 10€
Attention: if you want to use one of these options you need to make the reservation by email before THIS Sunday March 30.

2) DEPARTURE
Our last congress day will take place at the University of Brussels. The last part of the program there is the reception, starting around 17h. Travelling to Brussels train station is 20 minutes, to Brussels airport is 45 minutes and to Charleroi (from where you need to take a bus to Brussels South airport) on average 1h 5 minutes. Take this into account when arranging your departure. We hope you can stay all the way till the end!
Fortunately, more than half of our ‘none Belgian’ participants have asked for a longer stay. For these 46 people Friday’s dinner is scheduled at 19h30 and on Saturday morning a breakfast is foreseen: both meals are included!

3) DON’T FORGET
clothes for dressing up as a comic character (from a comic strip), if possible from your own country (best dress up will win a price at the Belgian night)
rainproof clothing + umbrella
clothes and shoes that can get dirty for the leisure activity outside
identity card / passport
preparatory work and other workshop material
country presentation material (beamer is available!)
towels and other bathroom stuff
your greatest motivation and biggest smile
(you don’t need sheets because they are provided at the location and also at the youth hostel for the longer stay)

4) WEBSITE
The website was and is being updated with
- how to get to the location
- some basic information about the longer stay
- the lectures
- the panel for the debate
- the final program
- the final excursion outlines
- the excursion participants

Please keep a close eye on the website during the final week for possible updates. Don’t forget to check for last updates on your workshop. And don’t forget to post us all your questions on the forum or via mail.
