Altai Adventure
Yes, you are on the web-page of the most amazing egea expedition! The ALTAI ADVENTURE starts from Moscow at 16th of July and will finish at 7th of August in Barnaul. There will be 15 places for egeans, excepting the organizing team.
21 days of the Altai exciting adventure means trekking, camping, climbing trip, meal preparations on a fire every day, enjoying the magnificent and virgin nature of Altai! Every day we will go on foot at least 20 km. A weight of your backpack could be 20 кg and maybe even more. Sometimes we will ask horses to help us with such heavy backpacks
During our expedition we will get to real off-the-beaten-track place that is totally unspoilt by tourism. It is valleys and ridges located in a secluded part of the siberian Taiga called "the Altai mountains" and there we will trek through remote valleys to a snow-capped mountain called Mt. Belukha (5 609 meters).
From Moscow we will take a train east to the siberian city of Barnaul and then a bus south to the town Gorno-Altaisk. Our expedition begins then! From Gorno-Altaisk we will take a bus as far into the Altai as the road goes. From then on, we trek by foot and camp in tents while exploring all the valleys, lakes, ridges, caves and other hidden places. We will also ascend to some ridges and admire the awesome views.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

■ Registration will be opened on 26th of Aprill (22:00) and lasts till 15th of May. We have to send all participants data to Border zone service two months before the start of the expedition!
■ The fee is around 600-700 euros, including tickets from Moscow to Barnaul by train. We can say the exact price after booking all types of transport (trains, buses, trucks, horses) in late May. We will do all our best to reduce the fee! For sure it will not be more than 700 euros. Around half of the fee we will need to be available two monthes earlier to cover train tickets, bus reservation, registration, border and protected area fees.
■ Tick-borne Encephalitis Vaccine IS VERY IMPORTANT!! Ideally immunisation should be completed at least a month before travel. It is considered to be effective against all strains of the disease.
Note that the organisers are not taking responsibility. You are responsible for yourselves for the duration of the Altai Expedition! Our trip will be quite intensive! We advise you to insure yourselves!
