The new Erasmus+ programme aims to support actions in the fields of Education, Training, Youth and Sport for the period 2014-2020.
Erasmus + provides grants for a wide range of actions and activities in the fields of education, training, youth and sport. The programme gives opportunities to students, trainees, staff and volunteers to spend a period abroad to increase their skills and employability. It supports organisations to work in transnational partnership and to share innovative practices in the fields of education, training and youth. The new sport action will support grassroots projects and cross-border challenges such as combating match-fixing, doping, violence and racism.

The EU’s youth policies aim to meet young people’s changing expectations while encouraging them to contribute to society. This policy work is supported by concrete action in the form of a specific programme for young people called “Youth in Action”. This EU Programme is aimed at young people aged 15-28 (in some cases 13-30). It aims to inspire a sense of active citizenship, solidarity and tolerance among young Europeans and to involve them in shaping the Union’s future.

The Council of Europe is the continent’s leading human rights organisation. It includes 47 member states, 28 of which are members of the European Union. All Council of Europe member states have signed up to the European Convention on Human Rights. Individuals can bring complaints of human rights violations to the Strasbourg Court once all possibilities of appeal have been exhausted in the member state concerned. The European Union is preparing to sign the European Convention on Human Rights, creating a common European legal space for over 820 million citizens.

It is a non-profit scientific and educational society founded in 1979 and has its legal base in Belgium. EUROGEO organises regular meetings, events, training courses and promotes geography and the work of geographers in European political circles. It is a network of professionals in the field and also publishes various peer reviewed publications.

GeoDACH represents the geographical student associations of German-speaking universities. The primarily task is to promote networking between different students associations. Especially concerning university politics and geographical issues. Twice a year GeoDACH members meet at Bundesfachschaftentagungen (BuFaTa).
Furthermore, GeoDACH is a permanent member of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Geographie (DGfG), the german geographical society and delegates GeoDACH members to the national accreditation board.

IFISO is an informal forum for international officers of pluralistic, “non-political” and not-for-profit international (worldwide, European, etc.) student-run organisations. Currently the IFISO network consists of a multi-disciplinary mix of 27 such NGOs, covering more than 2 million students all together. While IFISO has no legal or formal status, it is still quite influential because it creates the necessary environment for member organisations to strengthen their capacities through knowledge sharing and identification of synergies.

ThinkYoung is a Brussels based think tank concerned with young people. Placing a specific focus on the five fields of Education: Entrepreneurship; Environment & Energy; Enlargement; and EU-Asia, ThinkYoung conducts research, produces audiovisual documentaries, organises conferences and develops educational programmes.
